From a challenging, heritage-listed site to a stylish, multi-level modern building.
Working closely with building designers Motivo Design Studio, Classic constructed this stylish, modern four-level building in the heart of North Perth that included a basement car park and ground-floor retail use.
This heritage-listed building and its inner-city location required us to conduct extensive negotiations with neighbours on both sides before commencement along with ongoing risk management and monitoring.
The instability of the building required a redesign of the structural and architectural elements to remove the need for microfine grout injection and contiguous concrete piling to both boundaries.
Despite these challenges and the numerous design and access issues we encountered and met, Classic completed this project with a cost neutral outcome for our client.
The building was leased immediately on completion and, once again, another happy Classic client requested quotes on their other works.
