Carey Baptist College - Stage 2C Forrestdale

In early 2026, Carey Baptist College Forrestdale campus opened the doors of its new STEAM extension. Designed by Architect Brad Quartermaine, the innovative design of this contemporary building features brand new labs, trade and flexible spaces to inspire student learning and give staff the space they need to teach well.

As part of the growing needs of the Carey Baptist College community, Classic Contractors was contracted to construct a new STEAM building featuring classrooms, tech spaces, and thoughtful double-function architecture. This project reflects Classic Contractors’ ability to work on built environments that harmonise with contemporary architectural practise while meeting the needs of students’ learning outcomes.

Works took place during school operating hours with young children & required daily traffic management and consideration of daily school activities. Works were completed ahead of the school's new year commencement with minimal disruption while the school continued to operate. In addition to the new classrooms, Classic Contractors had to ensure that the structural integrity of the existing building was preserved. 

Classic Contractors have completed four construction projects for the education provider since building the foundation building at Carey Baptist College.
